RIBS ARE CAGES.

Today I am sharing a super fun, super chic, no-sew-heart-pillow-DIY. These plush beauties are inspired by the iconic simplified line portraits of Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. They make a really fun fiber art extension for a Picasso or Matisse study. I could also see them being gifted to a special someone for handmade Mother’s day or Valentine’s Day present!
Materials:

1. Create a heart template out of cardboard and trace it or freehand your heart shape directly onto your canvas. Fold your fabric in half so you get two identical heart shapes when you cut them out. 2. Use a light colored fabric pen or Sharpie to sketch out your facial features on your colored felt. 3. Carefully cut out your felt face shapes with a good pair of fabric shears. 4. Glue your felt pieces onto your canvas heart shape with fabric glue (these glue pens keep it neat). 4. Hot glue or stitch the edges of your heart shapes together, creating a sealed pocket, and start filling it with your fiber fill, closing up your seam and stuffing as you go.
