Hello
This is a big day for me. Before I go on, I thought I should step out from behind all of these pretty colors and shapes and say hi. My name is Arielle. I am an artist, designer, teacher, and mama of two girls (ages 5+10). I have been teaching and developing art programs in Los Angeles for close to 20 years. I left my 9-5 job a couple of years ago because I was super comfortable but not very happy, and it was time to take a leap of faith.
So the past two years have been about me saying YES to my big ideas. Starting with the idea that maybe I could lead my own brand of art classes, workshops, and parties, even if it meant working out of my home studio and the trunk of my car to start. YES to freelance illustration, design, and decorating jobs. YES to learning new things that challenge me (I'm looking at you, Adobe CS!). Finally, perhaps the scariest thing of all and the reason that you are reading this, YES to the blog that I have been writing in my head for the past 7 years but never published because I wanted it to be "just right". It is going up today, regardless of what the "just right" committee says.
I am really excited to connect on a deeper level with all of you and to grow in this new to me space. Will you join me as I say HECK YES to a biggie? I promise there will be lots of pretty things to see and make and nothing will be perfect.
